Tukiso Andries Ramphele (born 12 June 1993), professionally known as Andy On the Beat SA, is a South African musician and producer. Ramphele was born in 1993. His first album, King Pin EP, was released in 2021. The album sold 20 000 copies, and spawned two radio singles, “Commas” and “Philippine”. The singles played on YFM and Thobela FM. After the release of King Pin EP, Ramphele performed at The Wanderers Club. He also performed at schools in Alexandra and at private clubs. Ramphele has collaborated with Cruz Afrika, real name Tshepo Modise. The pair collaborated on On many acts in the industry Early life Andries Ramphele was born on 12 June 1993 in Randburg, Johannesburg, a city in Gauteng, to Simon and Nkarimoni Ramphele. Ramphele attended Bordeaux Primary School from 2000 to 2007. He dropped out of school after grade 9. Musical career Ramphele started making music when he was 15. He started as a poet and then proceeded to create beats. In 2007, he moved to Hammanskraal where he was inspired by the musicians he found there. He has drawn inspiration from public figures such as the sportscaster Robert Marawa and media personality DJ Sbu, real name Sibusiso Leope. Label Ramphele is signed under Pudi Records, an independent label he founded in 2020. The record company released his album in 2021. The label has signed two artists: Ramphele and Lyrical Pro. Personal life Ramphele is single. Awards and nomination Ramphele was nominated for the South African Hip Hop Awards Best RNB category in 2021.
