I am a Mom of 2 teens, a Registered Nurse working the front line, a fluid artist and so much more! The thing I am most proud of in my life right now, besides my kids, is overcoming severe anxiety by discovering fluid artistry.
I discovered acrylic fluid artistry while on leave from my job as a Registered Nurse in April of 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic. My anxiety had reached its peak while working the front lines at our local hospital. I started watching a lot of YouTube videos about fluid art and decided to give it a try to see if it would help my anxiety. Sure enough, I fell in love and discovered it was great therapy and soooo much fun! Then friends, family and coworkers started to request custom pieces or to purchase pieces I had already created. It was at that point I knew I was hooked for life!
Pre-COVID, my partner and I travelled at least twice a year. I miss being able to jump on a plane or in a car and heading out on our next big adventure! When we travel, two of my "must do's" are to try the local coffee, and of course the food!
I have battled severe anxiety, depression and chronic since I was a child. One thing I have learned in life is that we are all meant to be on the path that we're on. Life is constantly throwing us ups and downs. Those times when life throws us something difficult at us is when I focus on acceptance of what is. Those difficult times are meant to mold us into who we are. It's at those times when we chose to live our best lives or our worst. I look at those difficult times as learning opportunities so that I can help someone else cope through their difficult times. I speak openly on my social media forums about my battles in life but also the good times as well. I believe in keeping social media real by sharing those difficult times, not just all of the good ones.
