Alisha Staten

Hi! We are Alisha and Abigail Rose. We are a mother-daughter channel sharing our journey. What makes our channel unique is our story. On March 5th, 2021 my husband (Nick) and I, received Abigail Rose's Spina Bifida Myelomeningocele diagnosis at 19 weeks gestation. At 24 weeks and 2 days gestation, Abigail Rose and I were the first patients at The Univeristy of Utah to undergo Open Fetal Surgery. Abigail Rose made her arrival into this world at 29 weeks spending 75 days in the NICU. All we can say is, "It's been one heck of an adventure!"
