Hi! I’m Niki. I just turned 49 (it sounds so crazy to say that because in my mind I am still 29!), but I don’t look or act my age! I’ve had quite the journey through life so far. I was born in Australia to American parents and spent a grand total of 10 days there. My parents then moved to Singapore, where I spent my formative years (magical!) before finally moving to the United States at the age of 12. I live in Wellington, FL, with my longtime significant other and our 3 adorable dogs with personality plus that run our household. I have 3 amazing stepsons, including a set of twins that tragically lost their Mom at 14 and I’ve had the privilege of having them live with us since then. I adore them. They are currently in college and I miss them dearly. I am a proud "spoonie” (google the Spoon Theory if you aren’t familiar with this term, it’s so worth the read) navigating the challenges of chronic illnesses with all the grace and resilience I can muster up. My life path has been one of unexpected turns. I co-founded and successfully managed a multimillion-dollar home care company with two partners, but after being sick for years and finally getting diagnosed with multiple chronic illnesses, I made the heartbreaking and terrifying decision to sell my shares, prioritizing my health and well-being. I had my entire life all set out in front of me and one day I woke up sick and the doctors told me I’d never get any better. None of my conditions were terminal, but honestly, they may as well have told me they were, because that version of myself that was a healthy, boss bitch died that day and I had to grieve her and figure out who the hell I really was. I did a shit ton of spiritual and personal development and found a more humble, empathetic, less self involved version of myself. This new version of me is pretty dope too. She is a fierce advocate for women's empowerment and a huge believer in the power of a positive mindset and manifestation. My ultimate goal is to inspire and uplift others, especially those living with chronic illnesses, to embrace life's challenges and refuse to let their conditions define them. I want people to know that, although the landscape may have changed, you can still live your best life! I don’t ever want to be pitied, rather I want people to be inspired by my resilience and ability to pivot through the plot twists of this crazy beautiful life. If I can do it, anyone can! I don’t follow trends, I set them. It took me a long time to love myself, and now, with an unwavering spirit and determination, I truly feel that I am in my best era yet. You can find me forever chasing my dreams (in sneakers or my highest heels…it depends on the day I’m having), trying to impact, empower and uplift those around me, embodying the essence of a strong and inspirational woman, petting all the dogs, or obsessing over new beauty or fashion trends. I hope we get the chance to work together.
