my background is as an outreach worker, manager, instructor, facilitator, and advocate often working in support of people experiencing homelessness, poverty, critical illness, substance misuse, or political violence, while also navigating immigration, criminal justice, family protection, or mental health systems. A particular ongoing interest of mine is working alongside people who have survived structural oppression and marginalization, and with those (particularly men) seeking to find accountability and healing for their own participation in damaging systems. My graduate research in this area focused on exploring positive anti-patriarchal masculinity. The common thread throughout my work, is my passion for walking alongside people who are effecting meaningful change in their lives.
