I became deeply involved with the performing and visual arts from an incredibly young age. My participation in the arts--including marching band, wind ensemble, pit orchestra, musical theater, studio art, and portraiture--taught me more skills than sitting in a classroom ever did. Through my difficult life experiences, my one "constant" has been music and art. My dream is to become a privately practicing clinical social worker with an emphasis on music and art therapy. Through my career, I wish to advocate for children who are in unstable homes and struggling with mental illness.
