hey guys! my name is edie. i'm a 36-year-old mother of 5 (3 biological, 2 through marriage) that has been through things no one should ever have to endure. i survived a 10-year abusive marriage, being a single mother of 3 boys for 10 years, losing everything as a result of hurricane harvey, having my son kidnapped...i could go on and on.

which is exactly why i started this blog! i want to let women know there is a light at the end of the tunnel, whether you can see it or not. i am happily remarried, managed to put myself through school (strategic mba with a concentration in finance), comfortable financially, able to travel for the first [link-omitted], ever.

i want to share my pain so that hopefully it can be someone else's strength!
