As a technologist and proponent of the Open Web, Bob is part of the global non-profit organization Mozilla — makers of the Firefox web browser. His name is inscribed in the Firefox Monument found in San Francisco, USA. His role at Mozilla includes the mentorship of both local and foreign Mozillians, as well as speaking at technical conferences here and abroad. He also led the local Mozilla community to launch a localized version of Firefox. Since he formally joined Mozilla under the Mozilla Reps Program in 2011, he has been voted twice to sit at the Mozilla Reps Council, which is part of the organization’s leadership.
