My Educational & Professional Qualifications

I was graduated as a civil engineer from the University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka. It is the most recognized university which created graduated engineers for the nation. Also I have got a postgraduate of Building Services Engineering from the same university. I am a chartered engineer and a member of the Institution of Engineers Sri Lanka (IESL).

My Professional Experience

I have been employing in Sri Lankan government as a capacity of Chief Irrigation Engineer for 10 years. Before coming to this position, I had been employing as a Buildings Engineer in the government sector for 13 years. Another 2 years just passing out from the university, I employed in the private sector.

My Working Experience

Accordingly, now I have more than 25 experience in the engineering field. Also, in this period, I made lot of architectural and structural designs as a practicing engineer. I believe, my knowledge and talent in the engineering field was able to use more properly, as a structural engineer. I have handled various structurally challenged projects and believe my self-confidence as a civil engineer was mostly built up by the challenges.

My Other Experience

Not only that, I have a good working knowledge of Geographical Information system (GIS) and computer literacy. Comprehensive spatial database attached to Southern Provincial Irrigation Department - Sri Lanka was established with my major input. It is the most massive spatial database in Sri Lanka. My Skills in the Field of Art

Also I have some skills in the field of art. I can write stories Sinhala (Sri Lankan Language) & English. I have been the editor of the IESL-Southern Center for 3 years. I am the editor of 'Diyawara' newsletter being published by the department I am presently employing. I have been maintaining blog sites and a youtube channel.
